AlertFind Users See Different Numbers When Receiving US-Based Alerts Outside of the US or Canada

Overview

You have configured your AlertFind site with a US-based telephone number. When you send out Notifications that are received by users who are not in North America, they may see that a different number is calling or messaging them each time a Notification is issued.


Information

This is due to the way the telecom provider hands off the call from North America to other countries and cannot be controlled by AlertFind. The Caller ID that non-North American users will see may vary by country and carrier. Caller ID for North American users in the United States and Canada should always be the registered Caller ID telephone number you configured in your company settings when they are contacted by phone or SMS.
