AlertFind Roster Import Failed - Exceeded Limit of 50%

Overview

After running a manual Roster Import you receive a notification that the import failed. Errors in the results email are preceded by a warning similar to, Warning: 65% (650 of 1000) of <FIELD_NAME> missing from the import (exceeded limit of 50%).

Solution

This issue occurs when one or more fields in your import file have changed by more than 50%. For example, if all 1000 of your users have a "Home Phone" but your most recent import file is missing this data for 650 of those users, that would represent a change of 65% which will cause this error and halt processing of other events related to that field. There are several options to resolve this issue.

  1. Correct the imported data or use the Force option on the Roster Import which will ignore the percent of records being changed and process the change according to your configuration
  2. You can contact support to adjust AlertFind settings, keep current devices, and avoid mass deletion if you don't want that.

After applying a solution import should complete successfully.
