Overview

AlertFind Broadcast Groups allow you to simultaneously notify every member of the group. Broadcast Groups can contain other Broadcast Groups and Smart Groups, but not Escalation Groups.

Prerequisites

• Create an AlertFind Broadcast Group

Solution

For all notifications that require a response, AlertFind continues to notify members according to their personal escalation currently in effect, until the notification’s response is complete or is canceled.

Set a Notification Template's Recipients to a Broadcast Group

1. From the left menu, click Manage Library > Notification Template
   
   NOTE
   Broadcast Groups are not available from the Alert Console until you save the Receipt option in the Template Editor
2. Click Select Receipt
   
   
3. Locate the Broadcast Group and click the green '+' icon to add the group
   
   
4. Click Save & Close

Send a Notification to a Broadcast Group

1. From the left menu, click Alert Console, then click the Template icon that corresponds to the Template you added the Broadcast Group to
   
   
2. The To field will display the Broadcast Group and the Subject and Message will be filled per the Template
   
   
3. Edit the Message if needed, then click Send Selected Notification

The Notification will be sent simultaneously to all members of the Broadcast Group.
