Overview

You want to create a Notification to gather 10 "Emergency Responders" from two groups, Group 1 and Group 2. The Notification is set to go out to Group 1 first and only 6 people respond, the Notification is sent to Group 2 to gather the remaining 4. The 5th person from Group 2 who responds will be notified that the limit has been reached.

Solution

1. Follow the steps to Create a Response with the Notification Editor
   
   
2. Set the Response Limit to 10
   
   
3. Set Response Limit Handling and Allow Response Data to On
4. Use the Notification Editor to use an Escalation Pattern that calls Group 1, waits 10 minutes, then calls Group 2

Because the same Response with a Response Limit is being sent to different Groups on the Escalation Pattern, the count of Responders is not lost. If the limit is 10 and 4 respond from Group 1, a maximum of 6 can respond from Group 2. This can be extended to more groups.
