Updating Time Zones in AlertFind User Details using Roster Import

Overview

You would like to add imported time zone values to your roster data. This can be done during the initial roster import configuration or later as a change request if time zones were configured using UI.

Solution

You will need to add a column "Time Zone" to your roster CSV file. Values for this column should be matching those from the AlertFind time zone list. Send this CSV file to support and specify if you would like to disable UI time zone update or would like to allow UI to override import values.

Steps

EPA Admin or EPA Management permissions are required.

  1. Impersonate customer's instance.
  2. Add the following value to the MAP file ##SIMPLE PROPERTIES section.
    timezone = row['Time Zone']

Import data without commit first, confirm results with the customer, and if they confirm - commit import. Optionally you can configure AlertFind Instance User Properties Priority and Permissions depending if customer would like to allow UI to override imported time zones or not.
